I really had fun making this card. It won’t make it into my Etsy shop as it was made for a friend, which made it possible for me to use designs that I haven’t purchased licensing for or that licensing isn’t available.
I started out cutting a Silhouette Cameo design from black cardstock. I then cut the moon from white cardstock and distressed it with yellows and a touch of orange. From purple cardstock I cut the background sky. I wasn’t happy with the fit, so I cut another frame from black glitter paper making the center a tiny bit smaller.
The glitter frame brought it to life! I sandwiched some orange cardstock between the two layers of the jack-o-lantern and I added a rhinestone to the crows’ eye. I heat embossed the Happy Halloween in copper. My card base is navy backed by a slightly larger orange piece. I added a heavy duty cardstock and easel stand to the back so that it can stand for displaying. Pretty sure my friend will like this card.
Happy autumn to anyone that has stumbled onto this blog!
